For this question, it is key that you showcase your interpersonal skills. You want to give the reader a clear picture of how you will interact with your peers on UNC Chapel Hill's campus, and the best way to do that is to show how you've interacted positively with your peers before. If you don't have any examples of interacting with peers in a communal setting that approximates the student communities at UNC Chapel Hill, then choose any community where you've made the biggest impact.
The key mistake many make when writing this essay is that they only brag about how much they benefited the community. The bragging is for the activity sheet. This is the place to give the reader a front-row seat to the humanity required for you to positively impact your community. Provide a first-person perspective of your interactions with community members and a detailed description of exactly how your actions helped your community. Express your gratitude to your community for giving you the chance to be there and for facilitating your growth as a human being in the way that only a tight-knit community can.
The aim here is to nerd out about your favorite academic topic, get the reader as excited about the topic as you are, get them to be excited about the idea of you pursuing that topic, give them a reason to care about it, and teach them something about it. If your essay checks all of these boxes, you've done the best job possible. When using technical terms, make sure to explain them to the reader. Don't focus too much on your childhood experiences. Colleges want to know about the person you are now, not who you were as a little kid, because information about your present self will better inform them about the type of person you'll be on campus. As a result, discuss recent experiences with this subject rather than childhood memories.
